truePengu
truePengu is our implementation of a “Soulbound Token”. truePengu is a non-tradable token that categorizes a holder based on the tiers stated below. We developed truePengu based on the learnings found in Vitalik’s white paper and EIP4973. One thing we felt very strongly about was implementing the concept of a Soulbound Token while working within the constraints of current supported EIPs to ensure safety and accessibility for further developments we plan to work on. truePengu is an ERC1155 and has a modification that removes transferability. On July 22, 2022, holders were sorted into different categories based on what they hold and received their respective truePengu soulbound token.
Airdrop Structure:
1. Holders who own a Pudgy Penguin, Lil Pudgy, and Pudgy Rod all with the same ID at the time of the snapshot received the Ice truePengu soulbound token.
2. Holders who own a Pudgy Penguin and Lil Pudgy at the time of the snapshot received the Iridescent truePengu soulbound token.
3. Holders who own a Pudgy Penguin at the time of the snapshot received a Gold truePengu soulbound token.
These metrics do not stack, and each wallet will receive one truePengu soulbound token based on the highest requirement they meet. The snapshot was taken at 12AM EST, on July 22, 2022.
What is a Soulbound Token?
A soulbound token is a non-transferable token that lives in a wallet. The reason why the token is considered soulbound is because in Vitalik’s whitepaper, a user’s account is referred to as a "Soul", and the token is non-transferable, therefore being bound to that soul. As talked about extensively in Vitalik’s White Paper, a Soulbound token is attached to a user's digital identity.
