September was an action-packed month; let’s jump into everything that happened.

Pudgy Toys x Walmart

In September 2023, we announced that Pudgy Toys had become available in 2,000 Walmart stores nationwide. As you may know, the Pudgy Toys line initially launched on Amazon and was softly launched in a number of retailers worldwide, such as FiveBelow, Toys R Us, and FNAC.

A few weeks prior to the Walmart announcement, we teased that Pudgy Penguins were embarking on a journey to a Brave New World. Our debut at Walmart marked the beginning of a new era for products and experiences powered by the blockchain. It is a huge milestone for the brand and the community as we get to penetrate the mainstream audience, and it brings us one step closer to becoming the face of NFTs by putting our NFT IP at the heart of the world’s biggest retail chain, where hundreds of millions of people go every week.

Pudgy World 

With the Walmart news, we also reiterated that each Pudgy Toy comes with a QR code that unlocks digital traits that can be redeemed within Pudgy World. All traits unlocked with a toy from Walmart will feature branding from various Web3 brands, such as MeebitsNFTs, DeGodsNFT, and more!

And with that, we officially announced the Pre-Alpha launch of PudgyWorld, in which you can explore the lobby, a multiplayer, 3D interactive icy environment with a challenging mountain climb, and other fun mini-games.

Zurich Sep 16 - NFT Lakeside Unconference: Our very own Fifi, Burnasso, and CaptainPURU spoke on the panel, and also had a Pudgy Europe booth which drew people from all over to meet and get to know about Pudgy Penguins.
Berlin Sep 17 - Web3x3 Basketball tourney
Munich Sep 30 - Oktoberfest meetup: Pudgys from all over the world came to celebrate Oktoberfest in Munich, Germany.

Social Media Growth

September was one of our best months in terms of social media growth. Our Instagram grew by over 100k followers, our TikTok by nearly 50k followers, and our Giphy gained nearly one billion impressions this month.

Closing Remarks

September was an incredible month for the Huddle. We got to announce some major milestones for the brand, and we've received outstanding support from our community as well as others in the web3 space.
