Check out our June update!

Pengu Nation!

Welcome to your monthly Pudgy recap! As promised, we’ll continue to provide monthly updates for penguins who may have been sleeping in their igloos. Here’s your June recap!

June was the month where we acted on a lot of our collaborations, organised an IRL event, and launched our clothing line. May was a month full of online-based activations, such as Pudgy Media, while June aimed at curating experiences, both online and IRL. Let’s travel across the Pudgy Universe and look at everything we accomplished in June.

Penguins in New York, NFT NYC 2022

NFT NYC was the highlight of June. The team’s plan, ever since the acquisition, was to make a lasting impact on not only our holders but also the world and show them what the Penguins are really about. Our NFT NYC initiative had two aspects to it: one from an internal holders standpoint and one from a collaboration standpoint, and both tied together really made the Pudgy experience come to life.

From a collaboration standpoint, we partnered up with Shopify and Kristopher Kites to offer an interactive experience at Shopify in NY. This event was held during the day and featured custom Pudgy Popsicles done by Kristopher Kites that had a golden ticket in them to win a custom 1/1 chain. This was a huge collaboration for bridging the gap between Web2 and Web3, and we want to thank Shopify for hosting this amazing experience with them.

From a community standpoint, we held our private, holders-only event at the iconic social club, SPIN 23, that is located right in the heart of the Flatiron District of New York. Our event at SPIN 23 featured 20 ping pong tables, various mini-games such as beer pong and jenga, food and drinks, and blue ROGaritas, which were a huge hit! This event was a testament to the Huddle’s bond as everyone who attended this event felt the inclusivity, love, and good vibes in the air. Anytime we have a holders-only event, the huddle grows stronger. People see familiar faces, and the bonds grow thicker. The NFT NYC party was one of those times. If you want a personal view into our NFT NYC event, check out our scrapbook here.

We also had a Pudgy Penguins panel at the main NFT NYC event!

Here is our NFT NYC recap video:

Penguins on Instagram

Instagram was a key part of our clothing rollout and brand positioning. June was the first month in which we fully focused on good vibes and positivity, which ultimately builds awareness for the topics the Pudgy Penguins brand wants to share and embody. Once again, our Instagram grew rapidly, and below are the stats from our last recap to July 1st.

Followers before: 51,100

Followers on July 1st: 93,255

Growth: 42,155 followers

Average likes before: 1,352

Average likes currently: 3,663

The Huddle Marketplace, simplifying Web3

When diving deeper into what makes Web3 more adoptable, easier access and safety are key. These are the reasons we partnered up with Origin to launch our official Marketplace in June. The Marketplace we launched aims to simplify access to the three Pudgy Penguins collections by providing a one-stop-shop where users can interact with all of our collections.

Pudgy Clothing

Other than NFT NYC, another big initiative the Pudgy Penguins brand embarked on was clothing. A huge part of what we believe in is connecting the dots between Web2 and Web3, and onboarding the masses onto Web3. One of the ways we aim to do that is by expanding our marketing and growth channels to various fields, and clothing is one of them. From a team that has grown multiple clothing brands and that has worked on major fashion brands, clothing was an avenue we had to explore.

Our first clothing drop includes eight pieces, from hoodies to long sleeves to t-shirts, and incorporates the Pudgy Penguins brand in an adoptable way by fusing together what’s popular in fashion now with the Pudgy Penguins ethos. Our first clothing drop was a huge success, and we plan to grow in this field and introduce new styles and collections frequently.

Closing Remarks

To close off this recap, the team wants to thank The Huddle for continuously believing in the vision and supporting it. The Huddle continues to prove any other community wrong and is always innovating, and providing insight that helps build the community strong, every day.

As we continue on this journey to building the fastest growing brand in Web3, we are grateful that you are all in this ride with us. The Pudgy Penguins are different from the rest, and we will build, we will innovate, and we will excel.
